Back for a new year.

Not too sure anyone still reads this (and why would they since it's been over a year since the last post!), but I'm back and looking forward to writing my way through a new year.

2007 was a transition year for me as my wife and I became official Empty Nesters. So far, I think that's a good thing. I do have more time on my hands than before hence this blog being back.

2008 looks interesting from local to state to nation to globe: a new Senior Center in the works, Scooter Jensen's evading justice with the support of the State Justice Director (Attorney General), Presidential Primaries, and a very scary start of the year in the Middle East with the death of Benizir Bhutto.

Parting thought --- I'm guessing that Evansville's Public Works Dept ran out of budget. It's the only thing that explains the pitiful condition of the streets after the last snow. Normally, our DPW puts other communities to shame in the great job they do. Out of salt and $$ for overtime?
